Helping Elderly @ Manatee Springs Rehab

The elderly of this country are losing their homes, losing friends and family, and worse, they sometimes loose grasp of who they were before being institutionalized. Rehab Facilities have lost funding for activities to engage our treasured loved ones.

Like the music and art disappearing from schools, the money to care for our older family members is being lost to lower retirement payouts.

We saw the need first hand,  as one of our Mothers' came to this Rehab Facility. We noticed how there were rooms with little or no resources for the residents, when speaking to the Activities Director, we discovered the lack of funds/ donations to help. We chose to ACT....

By Acting, we have a continuous donation effort of games, VCR tapes, books, decor, greeting cards, and magazines.

We have a committee that takes the donations to the Rehab Center.

Hearing Dogs are Going to the Bahamas

4/14 to Present

Our first project of many has been to assist the Freeport Lions in creating a service dog training program in the Bahamas.

There is so much more work in creating a service dog program than just the training.

Customs, Police, and government need to be educated, schools need to teach acceptance and a reliable team needs to be in place to serve those disabled people in need.

We will continue our efforts with this project for years to come.

Donations to the Travel Expenses of both Directors and Trainers of each program would be of great help.
We also donate school Supplies to 2 schools in Freeport, Grand Bahamas.
